A team 5 KVIS students and 2 teachers participated in the “Kolmogorov Readings 2017, the 17th international Science Conference for High School” held at A.N. Kolmogorov School, Russia during 2 - 8 May, 2017. Dr. Min Medhisuwakul, Physics and Astronomy Teacher and Mr. Surakrai Nantaburom, Social Science Teacher from KVIS managed the KVIS team at the Kolmogorov Readings 2017.
Demonstrating excellent projects, our students received many awards in the event.
Ms. Natthanicha, presented her project titled “Microencapsulated Preservatives from Payom Tree Shorea Roxburghii” and was granted an “Audience Award”. Mr. Surayouth, with his project named “Study of Iron Nanoparticles-embedded Carbon Particle Fabricated by Solution Plasma in Waste Vegetable Oil on PEMF and Sustainable Energy”, was awarded with silver medal.
Ms. Kokhao and Ms. Pitchaporn, with their Social Sciences Project titled “Goodness: The Study of Definition between Kamnoetvidya Science Academy and Payubnai Local Community”, was also awarded with silver medal.
Apart from gaining academic and professional experience from the event, our students also explored more about the culture, tradition, and history of Russia by visiting Russian tourist attractions like, the Moscow Kremlin Museums, Peterhof Palace, and watching Ballet performance.
Most importantly, the friendship between Russian teams and Thailand teams from KVIS and MWITS was developed by the event. This friendship seems to continue to develop and play an important role in future collaborations of science education between the nations.
