On August 6, 2024, Kamnoetvidya Science Academy (KVIS) held an event "Entering the 10th Year of KVIS."
The morning activities began with a merit-making ceremony and a Buddhist prayer session to bring blessings to the participants and their families. This was followed by a special lecture on the topic "AI & Education 4.0" by Dr. Pailin Chuchottaworn, Chairman of the Governing Board. His presentation provided an excellent opportunity for teachers, staff, and students to learn about the significant impacts of AI in modern education and daily life. And hope that in the near future, we will be able to effectively lead and apply AI in teaching and learning. More importantly, tech-savvy teachers will be able to understand and connect with students even better. Assoc. Prof. Boonchoat Paosawatyanyong, Principal of KVIS, then expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those involved in the establishment and operation of KVIS. He thanked the PTT Group, and the school management team, teachers, and staff for their dedication and efforts in developing KVIS over the past decade.
In the afternoon, the event was a public spectacle: a chance to attend special lectures and engage in educational exchanges. The afternoon session began with a choir performance of the song "Lohit-Muang-Khiew" (meaning the colors of KVIS), by KVIS students and staff. Dr. Pailin Chuchottaworn, Chairman of the Governing Board, then officially opened the afternoon session, which was followed by a special lecture on "Multiple Intelligences (MI)" by Dr. Krissanapong Kirtikara, Senior Advisor of the Governing Board. A second special lecture on "Gifted Education" was given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usanee Anurutwong. These were followed by an inspiring talk aimed at motivating teachers and educational personnel by a famous content creator, Ms. Chananya Techajaksemar, from the YouTube channel Point of View, with Mr. Pakin Nimmannorrawong, a Social Studies/Social Science Teacher at KVIS, as a moderator. With a lucky draw corner in the event , there were 10 luckiest participants received the spcial prizes for Mrs. Thidarat Toommakorn, The Manager of KVIS.
The event was a great success, a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the organizers. Special thanks are extended to the PTT Group for their continuous support of KVIS, as well as to the management team, teachers, and staff who have overcome challenges and contributed to the development of KVIS since its inception. As reflected by the slogan "Xcellence Forward”, everyone has a crucial role to play in driving the school forward in its pursuit of excellence!
