KVIS has many students of high potential who will be looking for universities around the world. We were fortunate to be visited by two MWITS alumnai on Tuesday 20 December 2016. They came to visit our Principal Dr. Thongchai Chewprecha and to share their personal experienced in Australia with our students.
Chadin Kulsing (P’Din) and Yada Nolvachai (P’Da) are both graduates from Monash University, Australia with Doctorates in Chemical Analysis. They both held Faculty of Science Dean's Scholarships which paid tuition fees and personal expenses. They are teaching at the University and continue to work on chemistry projects.
They spent the day visiting our labs and talked at lunch-time with KVIS students who might be interested in studying in Australia and/or who are curious about careers as scientists. They pointed out that a foundation course before entering the first year of University study is very beneficial for those who are not native speakers of English. That opportunity had helped them to understand the education system of the country they were in and to adapt to new environmental and social conditions. Prep school is also beneficial for students as they learn invaluable lessons and strengthen their English language which is very important. They suggested that students who are flexible, design their own ways of working and want to have an opportunity to meet multidisciplinary team, could become scientists.
P’Din and P’Da left a message for our teachers.
If KVIS students want to do science projects with Monash University, please do not hesitate to send a proposal to them. They would be more than happy to partner our students and to help with applications for research grants.
