KVIS conducted Open House 2017 to showcase achievements, infrastructure, resources and opportunities available to the prospective students on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2017. Around 1400 prospective students and their parents from all over Thailand participated in this open house.
Everyday students and parents who registered at PTT Head Quarters at Bangkok were provided with transportation to reach KVIS at 08:30 AM. Registration at KVIS was during 08:30 - 09:30 AM. Dr. Thongchai Chewprecha, Director of KVIS gave a talk for inspiring the prospective students with PTT's objective on KVIS. After this talk, he answered for most of the queries asked by students and their parents.
Later, the visitors had a campus tour to 9 different stations set across KVIS. The activities were conducted as follows:
1) Biology
2) Library/ Thai Language/ English/ Social studies
3) Chemistry
4) Physics/ Math
5) Desing, engineering, technology and inovation
6) Arts/ Music/ Dance
7) Microcontrollers
8) Dormitory
9) Canteen/ Fitness/ Infirmary
KVIS souvenir shop was selling KVIS T-shirts and wrist bands at the venue. Around 700 souvenirs including 100 special edition boxes were sold. This souvenir shop contributes all its turnover to the local community development activity. This souvenir shop is an initiative by M5 students who designed all the articles sold.
KVIS mascot Godji entertained everyone at the venue.
