" Students of Kamnoetvidya Science Academy won the first prize in the Thai Youth Satellite Creation Competition under the School Satellite 2024 Project along with the Social Award "
On January 17-20, 2024, KVIS students participated in the Thai Youth Satellite Creation Competition under the "School Satellite 2024" project. Organized by the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization) – GISTDA to promote and support students' practical experience in building, assembling, and testing satellites with a team of GISTDA satellite engineers who have experienced the design and development of THEOS-2A. This is one of the key policy activities to create space personnel for Thailand. The participating youth will continue to inspire and combinate Thailand's space industry.
The winning team and participating teams will be further supported in other national and international projects such as KIBO/ ROBOTIC. This is a preparation to build the country's personnel and will be an important force in driving Thailand's space operations for Thai people in the future.
" Just Dust It Into Mars Team" from KVIS has qualified for the first round. It is one of 22 teams that passed the first round and qualified for the second round, with 10 teams that qualified for the second round. Both from high school and higher education and participated in tutoring at Assembly Integration and Testing (AIT), Space Inspirium Rangsan, Si-Racha District, Chonburi Province, and Wang-chan Valley, Wangchan District, Rayong Province.
The results of the Thai Youth Satellite Creation Competition under the "School Satellite 2024" project are as follows:
Secondary level :
1. The winning prize went to the "Just Dust It Into Mars Team" from Kamnoetvidya Science Academy.
2. The runner-up prize is the " Famous Condo in Salaya area next to Mahidol University Team" from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School
Higher education level :
1.The winners were the "SKYLINE Team" from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Chulalongkorn University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Saraburiwitthayakhom School.
2.The runner-up prize went to the "Who not come, Bruno Mars Team" from Kasetsart University.
There is also a Popular Vote, which is the "Mars-Ranger" team from Surasakmontree School, and the Beloved Social Award, which is the "Just Dust It Into Mars Team" from Kamnoetvidya Science Academy.
